Genesis 46:2 Another dream! (ducking & running) I was reading recently in a Voice of the Martyrs publication that God truly is still actively speaking to people through dreams in places where Christ is not preached openly and the people do not have access to the Word. Pretty cool stuff.
46:34 Does anyone know what the Egyptians had against shepherds? I’m being serious.
Matthew 13:3 I think we all have seen the parable of the sower firsthand. I actually had a thing I wanted to go into about it, but I lack the time today.
Lord, Help us to hear and understand. Help us to see and perceive. May our hearts not grow dull, and our ears hard of hearing. May we keep our eyes and ears open, understand with our hearts, turn to You, and be healed.
13:30 When I read this verse, I flashed back to an experience I had a couple of years ago. I was at a friend’s for a bonfire of sorts. There was this huge pile of brush, more than enough kindling, but nevertheless, homeboy got a tad overzealous with the lighter fluid. (What is it with you guys?) So I’m watching this thing (as was probably the rest of the county) just woosh up and blaze like anything, having faith in God but waiting for the fire department to show up, and I thought, man, that is hardcore. I would not want to be in that. It was a sobering illustration of the fate of those who do not belong to Christ when He returns. I hope no one reading this is included in that group. If you even think you are, please, give your heart to Jesus today, because none of us knows how much time we have. If you need more info, guidance, etc, call Pastor Don, even if it’s 3 a.m.; he won’t mind. Or call a Christian friend, call me if you’re a chick, or you don’t need to call anyone, but don’t put this off, please. Today’s the day of salvation….it’s a trip, it’s a wild ride, one you’ll want to stay on til it dumps you out, right in Jesus’ arms. Love you guys.

Lord,
Help us to hear and understand. Help us to see and perceive. May our hearts not grow dull, and our ears hard of hearing. May we keep our eyes and ears open, understand with our hearts, turn to You, and be healed.
