Leviticus 17
This just seems like good advice all around, in my opinion.

Ch 18
Sometimes I struggle with The Law. There is so much in it that seems like it would apply for all time, even now (like, don't marry your cousin). But then there are other componants like the whole no pork thing that I figure, well, we know what kind of diseases pork and shellfish can give you and how to not cook them the wrong way, etc, and so I figure it's OK to eat ribs....right???? So, I dunno, there's no point here; I just find myself mulling it over at strange times, like when I should be paying attention in class, or while I'm driving. I guess the bottom line is, I'm glad we're forgiven, and I'm glad we don't have to stone folks who break the Law anymore. Well, most of the time I'm glad. It's a good thing I'm not in charge....nothing would make sense.

Matthew 27:51
I've mentioned this verse in at least one entry past. Love it. No human hands could have rent that veil in two. That was formerly forbidden territory; akin to approaching God Himself. And through Him, there is now access to Him, for me, you, anyone who chooses.

v 52-23 Now I know this wasn't like a scene from the "Thriller" video (For those of you fortunate enough to NOT have seen it, don't bother), but I always kind of glossed over the whole dead coming back thing. So, after Jesus died, a bunch of formerly deads suddenly rose from their graves? I would think that would be enough to send the whole town into hysteria. This is another thing I need to look into...

V 60 Please understand; I don't doubt one minute that my Lord arose from the dead. But there is something I don't understand. V 60 makes it sound like Joseph (or JOA as I refer to him, to differ from Mary's Joseph) put the stone (rock) in front of the tomb himself, yet, I keep hearing how it never could have been rolled away. Then in V 65 it says the stone was sealed, so I figure, OK, once it was sealed it was hard to move. But my Bible gives a reference to a passage in Daniel, where, after Dan was thrown in with the lions, a stone was placed over the den entrance and sealed with the king's ring; meaning, no one could remove it, not literally sealed, but sealed with a signet, a wax signature. Anyway, since I'm paying particularly close attention to what I am reading this time around, can anyone shed any light on this? I spoke to Lynette at a woman's teaching yesterday (It was awesome, and we got to do puppets!!!!) and she says keep blogging, so I'll keep blogging. But seriously, folks, some of y'all holla back once in awhile. :-)

You know, I just think that the veil torn in two is simply awesome! I just love that!
