My friends and I used to call Valentine's Day "VD" out of scorn. As I did my reading in Leviticus this morning, I thought, how ironic.

I believe that one of the main reasons I am getting so much out of my reading this time through is that I begin with prayer every time. I pray that I will read without distraction, that I will retain what I read, that I will put what I read into practice, and that I can somehow bless others with it. It works, guys. And even on the days where your cat yaks in front of you and you've got two alarms beeping at you from opposite sides of the house and you're thinking, my goodness, it's 0500, how much earlier do I have to get up to get some quiet time, what is wrong with these people? How may times can you hit the snooze button??? Whoops, sorry. Even on days when it's difficult, stick with it. It's so worth it.

Leviticus:
I'm currently on a urology floor. I've seen some stuff. I really don't want to talk about this chapter. Please direct all questions about it to PD. This is why he is the pastor and I am not. Also cuz I'm a girl and even if I wasn't, I am not patient enough to ever be a pastor.

Matthew 27:5 Ever wonder if we'll see Judas in heaven? There are some who say people who commit suicide can't go to heaven. I don't believe that, but am interested to hear if I am wrong, where it is in the Bible. I admit, I have something of a mob mentality toward Judas, But Jesus would have forgiven him. I wonder if, before he died, he repented but was so broken up about what he did, he killed himself. Today is the first time I had ever considered it.

v 6 So I directed my mob mentality toward the pharisees. What is that about?! Sure, we'll pay for murder, but oh, we can't use that money in the temple! Uh huh. Sure, guys.

v 9 Skeptics can say what they want about Jesus studying prophesy and intentionally fulfilling it. No one could have known this was going to happen; He had no control over it.

v 14 I admire Jesus' restraint here. I pray I have the same restraint....because I put my foot in my mouth on a regular basis.

v 19. Guys, sometimes we wives have some good counsel. Oh wow! It came to her in a dream! Haven't seen that for awhile.

Jesus-type love to you all,
