Leviticus
The unclean leper was not allowed into the camp. The priest left the camp and examined the leper, pronounced him healed, and the leper was permitted into the camp. Reminded me of what Christ did for us and how we're now permitted into the camp called heaven.

I also liked how the one bird had the sin put upon it and flew away. What a great picture of how Jesus removes our sins from us.

Matthew
I like to think I would have been brave enough to attack those who were hurting my friend. Even though it doesn't say so specifically here, I believe it was Peter who cut the guy's ear off. I have to wonder, though,a) why Pete didn't just run the guard through, and b) why the other guards didn't kill Peter on the spot for wounding their buddy.

v. 56 The disciples all fled. I know it fulfills prophesy, but still, I wonder WHY??? Why did they run away?

v 63 Jesus kept silent. And he wasn't doing it to cop attitude, like someone I know sometimes does. (OK, it's me)

Not Peter's finest moment here, the three denials. But before I point my accusing finger at the guy, I am reminded that I deny being with Christ every time I gossip, lead someone to sin, say something nasty, etc. I don't want to do that. I want my words and actions to confirm that yes, I am with Jesus. :-)
